William (Bill) Roy Lovell

Bill Lovell was born to Joseph and Vernece (Dollar) Lovell on September 5, 1946, in Norman, Ok. He departed this life on May 14, 2018, at the age of 71 years.

Bill grew up in Noble and graduated with the Noble High School Class of  1964. On February 10, 1966, he entered the U.S. Air Force. While in high school he met a girl from Norman. Her name was Carol Foss and the love of his life. They married while he was on leave on December 27, 1966, at the Noble Methodist Church. Their journey began as a career military family that traveled.  With 21 years and 7 months and 2 children later Bill received an Honorable Discharge as Master Sargeant on September 30, 1987, and the family returned home to Noble.

In 1992 Bill became employed with Grissom’s Nursery. He was still employed with Grissom’s at the time of his death. Bill loved his family. He enjoyed the many camping trips and family reunions they took as a family.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who survive him include his wife Carol of the home, son Mike Lovell and wife Diane of Norman, daughter Lori Lovell of Norman, brother Joe Lovell and wife Pam of Edmond, sisters; Mary Kersey of Norman, Martha Jett and husband Newell of Missouri and Pam Rosso and husband Jim of Texas, grandchildren; Chris, Taylor Christine, Taylor Michelle and Devon.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at McMahans Funeral Chapel.

Visitation: 4-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16

INTERMENT with Military Honors at Noble IOOF Cemetery.
