LARRY JOE BROWN 

Larry Joe Brown was born to T.O. and Ruby (Eskew) Brown on January 29, 1939, in Gotebo, Ok. He was called home on April 20, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family at the age of (80) years.

Larry attended school at Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, Ok. Growing up as a teenager he met his next door neighbor Miss. Barbara Malicott. Miss. Malicott had an interest in him so she asked him on a date. From that moment on the romance started. They were United in Marriage on August 6, 1955, in Oklahoma City. In 1973 they moved their family to the Cleveland County area where he resided until his death. Larry was self-employed in the drywall business for over (50) years. He had an ear for music and was a self-taught guitar player among many other instruments. Barbara joined him on the bass guitar. They and other band members played at many Senior Citizens Centers including Noble for (12) years. They also played at Nursing Homes to entertain the residents and the Churches that he and Barbara attended. At the time of his death, he attended the Franklin Baptist Church. Larry loved the Lord, he was a Christian man and he loved to make music for the Lord. He was a family man and worked hard to support and raise his four daughters. He enjoyed family time on camping trips, fishing on his pontoon boat and spending time friends and family.

 Larry was preceded in death by his Parents, a daughter Patty Mallory, a granddaughter, (3) Brothers and their spouses; Junior and Iola Brown, Don and Penny Brown and Derrell Brown, (2) Sisters; Katherine Lindsay and LaNell Bailey, (2) brothers-in-law; Terrell Lloyd and Jimmy McDonald. Those who survive him include his Wife of (63) years Barbara of the home, (3) Daughters; Linda Rosenfelt and husband Gene of Noble, Sheila Dickerman and husband David of Noble and Janice Busick and husband Pat of Noble, Son-in-law Harvey Mallory of Noble, (2) Sisters; Waynona Lloyd and Linda McDonald, Sister-in-law Sandra Brown, (9) Grandchildren, (22) Great Grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

 

VISITATION HOURS: 4:00 pm-8:00 pm Wednesday, April 24M

 

FUNERAL SERVICE:11:00 am Thursday, April 25th
