Larry Dale Dudley

Larry Dale Dudley was born to Noble and Gertrude (Riddle) Dudley on October 6, 1946, at Layton, Ca. He departed this life on February 7, 2020, at the Norman Regional Hospital at the age of (73) years. After high school, Larry entered the US Army on December 31, 1966. After basic training, Larry was sent to Germany to enter active duty in Korea and Vietnam. During his tours, he received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, two overseas bars, and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Larry received an Honorable Discharge on September 18, 1973.

Larry married the love of his life Paulla Lewis on April 15, 1987. They made their home in Norman before moving to Noble where he resided until his death. He was employed with the Oklahoma City School Board in construction, owned and operated Poor Boy’s Handyman Service, Action Roofing and Dudley Gutter Co. He was a longhaul truck driver before retiring to Clearview Mobile Home Community as the Maintenance Manager. He played the guitar and had a great love for country music touring with bands in the ’60s and ’70s.

Larry was preceded in death by his beautiful Mother Gertrude and Father Noble, Brothers; Noble Jr., Hollis, Wallis, Truman, John, Leslie and Jerry, Brother-in-law Mark Lewis, Sisters Hazel and Mardell, Niece Sara Winn and (2) Grandchildren.

Survivors include; his wife Paulla, Brother Roy Dudley(Joanne), Brother-in-law David Lewis, Sisters; Linda Newman (J.E.), Ruby Johnson (Danny), Darlene Fitzgerald (Mike) and Sandra Bolt, Mother-in-law Barbara Lewis, Son Larry Dudley Jr. (Trena), Stepson Corey Nimsey (Chasity), Daughters; Trisha Simmons, Paula Walker(Brian), Trudie Barker (Kelly), Stepdaughters; Jennifer and Jessika Nimsey, Larry and Paulla shared (15) Grandchildren, (11) Great-Grandchildren along with numerous Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives and friends.
